Mega Bloks Call of Duty Jungle Troopers Review

Time for my second review! I'll be taking a look at another Call of Duty Mega Bloks item with the brand new Jungle Troopers "care package" set. This 147 piece set is included in the $15 "troop pack" assortment and includes a small build-able terrain piece, various accessories, and five micro action figures.

I'll cover the "boring" part of the set first, which is the terrain piece. It is a very simple build that involves two base plates, some small pieces to connect them,  and some "scenery" bits to finish it off. I did find the small palm trees, which are made from a molded plant piece placed on top of stacked cylinder pieces, quite fun to build. The finished terrain piece isn't anything groundbreaking but it does a good job representing jungle scenery.

Now for the good part: figures and accessories! Like most of the "care package" sets, Jungle Troopers  includes five fully articulated micro figures with a plethora of weapons and accessories. The figures are molded in various shades of green and brown to distinguish them as jungle soldiers. Only four rifles are included, but a pistol and several backpack pieces make up for the lack of a fifth rifle. All of the extra gear can be stored in the opening crate that is included.

This is a solid troop pack and a great way to add more variety to your Mega Bloks Call of Duty collection. It is hard to go wrong with five articulated figures and a small build for around $15.

  1. 5 VESTS! nice, I also noted there are 2 painted boots this time around (the Desert and Snow teams have a single pair of boots painted).

Those small jungle plants are rather good looking, I just know I'll be buying a few of these.

  2. I never noticed that some boots were painted and some weren't, but now that you have pointed it out it can't be unseen! The painted boots look way nicer than the unpainted.

Also a small detail I forgot to note is that the masked figure with tan boots features one leg with a kneepad and one leg without. I found that to be a nice little detail worked in by MB, and adds a little extra variety.
